Table of Contents for January
In the last six to seven months, I’ve made some life choices that have overhauled a great deal of my seasonal and daily habits. I’m still trying to create new routines with the flexibility I’ve stumbled into, and in the last month or so, I made an effort to write a bit more here and there. Hope I can keep that going, but I could also see being a dad and watching Lodge 49 really eat into that time and focus writing so often requires. We’ll see is what I’m saying.
“On Traveling, You Must Be Tripping: Luka Dončić, Joel Embiid, and the Mysteries of Basketball” (January 4)
“How to know A.I. wrote what you are reading” (January 4 for Fansided’s The Step Back)
“Embrace the NBA’s Scoring Barrage” (January 4 for Fansided’s The Step Back)
“A Read on Wrestling: Bill Hanstock’s We Promised You a Great Main Event: An Unauthorized WWE History” (January 13)
“Let them eat cake: Giving fans of the worst NBA teams reason to cheer” (January 18 for Fansided’s The Step Back)
“Questions about Zombies: Living with Xavier Riddles while reading Colson Whitehead’s Zone One” (January 23)
“NBA Fan Fiction: The story of Patrick Beverly’s watch” (January 24 for Fansided’s The Step Back)
In the meantime, I’m reading Richard Powers’ Bewilderment and Catherine Lacey’s Pew. Been working on some short story drafts and preparing some poems for submission. And I have some rough ideas for Medium posts in February. Think one of those will revisit that zombie conversation from January 23. Maybe some thoughts on the Oscars. You know, blog stuff.
